Job Description and Responsibilities:

We are growing and hiring a Senior Plant Manager for our Team.
The Senior Plant Manager is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of plant operations across two locations, ensuring that all functional groups execute effectively on planned commitments in support of product deliverables. This role requires a hands-on, strategic leader who can optimize processes, reduce costs, and meet customer requirements while ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities include:

Operations Management:
  • Oversee all day-to-day operations, including production scheduling, resource, and capacity planning to achieve objectives.
  • Monitor and ensure production targets are met, with an emphasis on efficiency and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure the manufacturability of products.
Leadership & Team Management:
  • Provide direction, coaching, and development to production supervisor and lead hands.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, teamwork, and accountability.
  • Manage staffing levels, hiring, and training to ensure production demands are met.
Quality Control & Compliance:
  • Ensure products meet stringent engineering and customer specifications.
  • Maintain compliance with industry-specific quality standards (e.g., ISO, ASME, API).
  • Lead efforts to investigate and address quality issues, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
Safety & Regulatory Compliance:
  • Establish and maintain safety programs to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations and environmental standards.
  • Promote a culture of safety awareness and ensure all employees receive appropriate training.
Financial Management & Cost Control:
  • Develop and manage the plant’s budget, focusing on cost reduction and operational efficiency.
  • Track KPIs and analyze operational data to identify areas for financial improvement.
  • Ensure efficient use of materials, minimizing waste, and optimizing machine utilization.
Maintenance & Equipment Management:
  • Oversee preventative maintenance programs to reduce downtime and improve productivity.
  • Coordinate with the engineering team for equipment upgrades, installations, and troubleshooting.
Customer Satisfaction & Delivery:
  • Ensure on-time delivery of products that meet customer quality expectations.
  • Collaborate with supply chain and logistics teams to manage material flow and shipping schedules.
  • Address customer feedback and implement process improvements where necessary.

Qualifications:
This role demands a results-driven leader with a passion for manufacturing excellence and an ability to thrive in a fast-paced, technically complex environment.   • Bachelor’s degree in a related Engineering discipline, Operations Management, Mechanical or Electronics is preferred. MBA is considered an asset.
  • 10+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 5 years in a senior plant or operations management role.
  • Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and production planning tools.
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Experience in managing budgets, KPIs, and cost control initiatives.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and experience with industry-specific quality certifications (e.g., ISO 9001).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.

Salary: The hiring range for this position ranges from CA$130,000.00 – CA$155,000.00. Your salary offered will be based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, experience, and internal parity.
