Job Description

Position Summary
The Senior Solutions Engineer, Growth IT is responsible for modeling the Compassus values of Compassion, Integrity, Excellence, Teamwork, and Innovation and for promoting the Compassus philosophy, using the 6 Pillars of Success as the foundation. S/he is responsible for upholding the Code of Ethical Conduct and for promoting positive working relationships within the company, among all departments, and all external stakeholders. The Senior Solutions Engineer, Growth IT is responsible for leading the technical aspect of the Company's solutions architecture. S/he provides guidance and support to the growth and customer success teams as well as ensures the successful implementation and integration of products and services. S/he utilizes their expertise in designing, developing, and implementing complex solutions to drive customer satisfaction and foster business growth.

Position Specific Responsibilities
  • Collaborates with customers, growth teams, and product managers to understand customer requirements and design innovative and scalable solutions that meet their needs.
  • Provides technical leadership and guidance to cross-functional teams, including Growth, Engineering, and Customer Success, throughout the growth and implementation processes.
  • Engages with the Growth team to identify customer pain points, create compelling technical proposals, deliver product demonstrations, and address technical questions and objections during the sales cycle.
  • Develops prototypes, proofs-of-concept, and custom demonstrations to showcase the capabilities and value of our solutions, ensuring they align with customer requirements.
  • Partners with the implementation team to ensure successful integration and deployment of our solutions within customer environments, resolving technical issues and ensuring smooth project delivery.
  • Stays up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape to continuously enhance technical knowledge and be a trusted advisor to customers.
  • Builds strong relationships with key stakeholders, including technical teams, executives, and decision-makers, to understand their strategic objectives and provide ongoing technical guidance and support.
  • Develops technical documentation, training materials, and best practices guides to support internal teams and customers in the effective use and adoption of solutions.
  • Identifies opportunities for process improvement, automation, and scalability to enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness of the solutions engineering function.
  • Fosters a culture of collaboration, knowledge sharing, and mentorship within the Solutions Engineering team and across the organization.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in a technical pre-sales, solutions engineering, or similar role required.
  • Strong background in software development, systems integration, and architecture design, with proficiency in programming languages such as M, SQL, Java, Python, or C++ required.
  • Strong background in report development, data visualization, and business intelligence platforms such as Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent required.
  • Demonstrated expertise in designing and implementing complex solutions that involve multiple technology stacks and integration points required.
  • Prior experience in the healthcare industry preferred.

Skills
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage.
  • Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from leaders, colleagues, investors, and external parties. Strong written and verbal communications.
  • Other Skills and Abilities: Ability to understand, read, write, and speak English. Articulates and embraces hospice philosophy. Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking capabilities, with the ability to quickly understand and address customer challenges. Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships, with a focus on customer satisfaction and success.

Physical Demands and Work Environment: The demands of this role necessitate a team member to effectively perform essential functions. Adaptations can be made to accommodate team members with disabilities. Regular standing, walking, and manual dexterity are fundamental, along with the ability to lift and move objects up to 25 pounds. Visual acuity requirements include close and distance vision, color and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
