Education: High School Diploma; must be able to read, write, and do basic math; Bachelor’s degree preferred

License:Must maintain a valid driver’s license

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle.
  • Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain existing client base.
  • Develop new client base while utilizing professional sales techniques. To include cold calling.
  • Pre-plan and schedule appointments daily.
  • Promote and sell services daily.
  • Utilization of effective communication skills daily.
  • Attend after-hours events such as Chamber of Commerce meetings, customer events.
  • Meet with company operations personnel, i.e., Terminal Managers, Drivers, Customer Service, etc.
  • Follow up on sales leads and referrals in a timely manner.
  • Assist Corporate Office with collections of past due accounts.
  • Prepare Weekly Recap Reports, Weekly Plan Sheet, Expense Reports, Mileage .Reports, and Truckload Quote Breakdown Forms.
  • Assist Corporate Office with damaged freight inspections and report back to Corporate Office.
  • Review and analyze specific customer shipping requirements and report back to pricing. department to assist in the development of fair and equitable account pricing.
  • All office personnel must be reliable, must report for duty on time, and must be available for overtime when required.
  • All office personnel must keep management informed.
  • All office personnel must maintain a good working relationship with customers, vendors, co-workers, and management.
  • Learn and adhere to all applicable company policies and procedures.
  • Updating CRM (Customer Relations Management) database daily.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $70,000.00 per year
