Business Development & Bid Specialist
Triumvirate Environmental, one of the largest environmental services firms in North America, is seeking a highly motivated and data-driven Business Development & Bid Specialist to join our Sales and Business Development team at our corporate office in Somerville, MA.
In this role, you will manage the full lifecycle of the proposal process, from creating and submitting RFPs to coordinating with cross-functional teams and developing tailored solutions to win new business. You will play a key role in supporting Triumvirate's strategic growth by driving successful proposal efforts and enhancing bid content.

Responsibilities:
- Proposal Management
- Lead and maintain processes and procedures for the full RFP lifecycle, including timeline management, proposal creation, and submission.
- Facilitate internal bid progress meetings, and coordinate schedules and deliverables to meet internal and external deadlines.
- Track and follow up on submitted proposals, maintaining communication with prospects to monitor evaluation status.
- Content Development and Management
- Maintain and update the Corporate Bid Library, ensuring content accuracy and relevance.
- Draft, structure, and customize proposals in line with RFP requirements, leveraging existing archived materials and creating new content.
- Collaborate with Sales Representatives and Subject Matter Experts (SME's) to create unique solutions for prospects.
- Assist with creating client presentations and contract execution resulting from the RFP process.
- Research state and federal bid opportunities via platforms like HigherGov and SAM.gov to identify new government business opportunities and analyze historical data to inform competitive strategies.
- Collaboration and Coordination
- Work closely with sales representatives, disposal coordinators, general managers, and service managers along with internal departments including but not limited to, Contracts, Compliance, and Human Resources, to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive response to RFPs.
- Coordinate internal meetings to discuss RFP elements, including scope of work, timelines, proposal requirements, and pricing.
- Support sales personnel with vendor approval forms and related documentation.
- Develop and maintain weekly tracking reports on open RFPs, leads, and future opportunities.
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Environmental Services or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 1+ years of experience in project coordination, business development, or proposal writing.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with CRM or proposal management tools including Ariba.
- Strong analytical skills to assess RFP requirements and develop competitive strategies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong project management and time-management capabilities.
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work cross-functionally.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without future sponsorship
- Must have a reliable form of transportation
