Duties:
Manage, train, and oversee designated OEM staff. Collaborate with Product Team (PT) to investigate Global Key Account customer and industry trends to generate and maintain product roadmaps for the account with feedback/support from Global Headquarters (GHQ) engineering teams. Work with Head of Global Key Account Management (HoGKAM) to develop and implement global product and sales strategy. Support the introduction of the global key account management structure regarding individual market demands and various regional engineering requirements to efficiently match the product portfolio. Global lead for technical strategy and implementation of engineering changes for accounts. Responsible for sales and sales activity for the account(s). Responsible for engineering issues for the respective product line(s). Foster strong communication among OEM team members. Act as Sales and technical liaison between Niterra Japan, USA and affiliates. Develop and maintain strong working relationship with customers. Develop and implement sales strategy for the account. Support in resolving customers’ sales, logistic, and technical problems, and issues. Approve sales forecasts and monthly sales tasks. Review warranty reports and negotiate warranty concerns with customer. Negotiate engineering specifications, and design and process changes with customer representing the company. Support in resolving plant claims on product defects. Negotiate sales contracts and design and process changes with customer representing the company. Monitor customer’s application development and plan and implement engineering and sales activities. Analyze and report critical customer information in a timely manner. Resolve account receivable and logistics issues. Support in creating and enforcing the budget related to specific customers and team members. Utilize customer websites and other software to perform daily job duties (web quotation, respond to capacity studies, etc.). Generate new ideas about business expansion including new products, customers, industry partners, or markets. Gather customer opinion on new products presented from other Niterra regions. Lead projects related to business expansion including local product development efforts for PAMA region. Complete business and technical feasibility studies on new products or ideas. Create and monitor KPI’s related to business expansion. Ensure IATF16949 and J-Sox compliance as applicable. Adhere to all company policies and procedures and will adhere to all company policies relating to IATF16949 and ISO14000. The role will also supervise: 1: Engineering Manager; 1: Project Engineer; 1: Application Engineer; and 1: Account Executive.


Minimum education and experience required: Master’s degree or equivalent in Engineering or related field plus 3 years of experience in OEM automotive or related field; OR Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering or related field plus 5 years of experience in OEM automotive or related field.

Skills Required: Must have experience with: Internal and external supply chains and logistics; Sales contract negotiations and forecasting; Sales, technical marketing, and product positioning strategy development; Technical feasibility assessments and evaluations (Financial and technical due diligence activities); Business expansion and strategy development; New product innovation; Automotive technology; OEM automotive processes; Technical ceramics and applications; Material science engineering, material characterization tools and analysis equipment such as SEM, XPS, XRD and X-RAY; Energy storage/transmission and fuel cells; New product launch, product life cycle development, project management using APQP tools, customer relations, pricing strategy and negotiations; Design and optimization of manufacturing lines and processes; Drafting and evaluating BOM, technical specifications and drawings using design and software such as Matlab, Solidworks and CATIA; Generating and using quality control tools such as PPAP, PSW, FMEA and RCA; Vehicle Electronic control modules/Powertrain control modules and integration with other electro-mechanical components; Regulatory requirements for emissions (OBD, CARB, EURO 6); and IATF 16949 and ISO14000 requirements.
