About Our Client:
Our client is a leading manufacturing and distribution company.
Position Scope:
The Inside Sales Representative is responsible providing products / services information and resolve any emerging problems that clients might face with accuracy and efficiency of orders. The target is to ensure excellent service standards and maintain high customer satisfaction.
This role is on-site, 5 days per week.
Responsibilities:
- Develop strong communication skills with the Territory Managers and lend support to the Management structure within the team environment.
- Adherence to Quality Procedures in accordance to ISO 9001:2008 while demonstrating dedication to meeting expectations and requirements of customers.
- Responsible for generating quotes and follow-ups, reviewing customer orders and issuance of internal orders.
- Identification and monitoring of “A” and Target accounts.
- Field calls from existing and potential customers.
- Expedite outstanding orders to ensure on time delivery and advise customers accordingly.
- Handle customer concerns and NCRs in a timely and satisfactory matter within the guidelines as set out by company policy. ( See Instructional Flow Chart )
- Review Open Order Report daily.
- Tap industry and market development to fuel current and future business needs and market opportunities by means of a disciplined out call program utilizing market tools such as available software programs, Internet, sales reports and generated leads.
- Monitor and maintain filing system for all Blanket / Contract Business.
- Understand and utilize different technologies and tools to increase productivity and improve overall efficiency.
- Stay abreast of whom the competitor is and the strategies that competing organizations employ. Look for and identify new competition emerging from unlikely industries and market segments.
- Maintain records of all territory specific information and forward all quotes, inquiries and orders to the Territory Manager.
- Participate in the bi-weekly sales meetings.
- Provide details of Lost Business reports as information becomes available.
- Source Non–Inventory items for buyouts if/when applicable.
- Attend plant tours, continuing education seminars as/when available.
- Monthly review and disposition of aged inventory via offerings.
- Other duties as deemed necessary by Management.
Education and Experience:
- Proven customer service experience and support.
- College / University degree in Sales & Marketing preferred.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Relevant IT skills in basic MS office applications – Outlook, Excel, Word and Power Point
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively.
- Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of characters.
