Role Overview: As Sales Director, you will be responsible for driving the global sales strategy, building relationships with key stakeholders in the freight forwarding industry, and achieving sales targets. This role requires a deep understanding of freight forwarding processes (Airfreight, Seafreight, and international forwarding) as well as hands-on experience with freight forwarding software solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a strategic mindset, be well-organized, and demonstrate strong leadership skills to manage a remote sales force across different regions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Leadership:
- Lead and manage Freightoscope’s global sales team, driving the sales strategy and achieving revenue targets.
- Develop and implement sales plans to grow market share in the freight forwarding industry.
- Coordinate with remote sales support teams to ensure smooth operations and maximize performance.
- Industry Expertise:
- Utilize in-depth knowledge of the freight forwarding industry, including Airfreight, Seafreight, and international forwarding.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of freight forwarding software solutions, assisting in the positioning of our products.
- Business Development:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders in the freight forwarding ecosystem.
- Travel to industry conferences and events to represent Freightoscope, network with potential clients, and identify new business opportunities.
- Product Demonstration:
- Present and demonstrate Freightoscope's products and services to prospective customers worldwide.
- Provide feedback to the product development team based on customer insights and market demands.
- Public Speaking & Marketing:
- Confidently represent Freightoscope at conferences and public forums, delivering compelling presentations.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to actively participate in and contribute to campaigns, promotional activities, and content creation.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with worldwide teams across different time zones, ensuring smooth communication and coordination.
- Motivate and manage the sales force, setting performance targets and fostering a results-driven culture.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in sales leadership, with a strong background in the freight forwarding industry.
- Proven track record in achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
- Hands-on experience with freight forwarding software (FMS, RMS, etc.) and technology-savvy.
- Fluent in English (both verbal and written), with excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage remote teams.
- Willingness to travel internationally for conferences, meetings, and business development purposes.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and a team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Bonus Qualifications:
- Multilingual skills (particularly in regions relevant to freight forwarding like Europe, Asia, and Latin America).
- Familiarity with digital marketing and lead generation strategies for the freight forwarding and logistics industry.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
