Business Development Representative - South Tampa, FL (Hybrid)
Job Summary:
Precisesource, a national recruitment firm is actively seeking a Business Development Representative to work for our client, a marketing software company located in South Tampa, FL.
As the Business Development Representative (BDR), you'll be at the forefront of generating qualified sales opportunities with enterprise consumer brands. Your role involves initiating exploratory conversations, qualifying prospects, scheduling follow-up meetings, and demonstrating how our platform can fuel a brand's growth and success. Utilizing outbound techniques such as phone calls, emails, and social media, you'll set qualified demos of our software with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs)/Brands for our Account Executives. Collaboration with the sales and marketing team is key as you work to foster relationships and drive revenue.
Job Duties / Responsibilities:
- Conduct high volume prospecting through outbound initiatives including phone calls, emails, and social media (LinkedIn).
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our product(s), services, and marketing initiatives.
- Update and manage all sales activities, opportunities, and account information in CRM.
- Identify and prioritize strategic target account lists within a defined industry.
- Analyze prospective customer needs and present product and services overview.
- Overcome objections and align our value proposition with customer needs.
- Schedule qualified product demonstrations with prospective customers for the Account Executive team.
- Prepare for and contribute to strategic weekly deal review meetings.
- Meet defined lead generation metrics as agreed upon by BDR Lead, VP Revenue, and Management team.
- Follow documented SOP’s to ensure success.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills, including public speaking experience.
- Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Working knowledge of the enterprise software market or quick ability to learn new software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, making outbound calls daily.
- Strong work ethic, competitive self-starter, and eager learner.
- Commercial awareness and brand recognition to establish rapport with prospects.
- Proficiency with sales enablement software tools such as HubSpot, LinkedIn, Facebook, Google Drive, etc.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and willingness to collaborate in a competitive environment.
- Passion for influencing others using market research and continuous learning.
Education / Experience:
- High School Diploma required.
- 1 year of professional experience preferred.
- Experience in Software/SaaS sales or lead generation for enterprise consumer brands preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to meet quantitative goals and work independently.
- Experience using CRM and/or other sales-enablement tools.
- Drive to succeed and find motivation in setbacks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
More About This Position
- This is a full time, permanent position with a starting salary of $55,000 per year + commissions. On target earnings for year 1 will be $85,000. There is substantial growth opportunities and upward mobility. Full comprehensive benefits are included as well!
- This is a hybrid role, working 2 days in office and 3 days from home.
