Job Description

POSITION OBJECTIVE:
Under the direction of the president, this position is responsible for directly managing the company’s business development strategies from start to finish. The focus will be on sales and service objectives to enhance current and new client relationships, maximize revenue and ensure long-term growth opportunities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS FOR BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER:
Daily job responsibilities/functions to include, but not limited to:

  • Follow-up on customer inquiries and questions
  • Maintaining current client relationships and identifying potential clients
  • Researching trends and creating new opportunities to increase sales
  • Developing new sales areas and improving sales through various methods
  • Examines risks and potentials for the business opportunities.
  • Closes new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; and integrating contract requirements with business operations.
  • Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER:

  • Strong organizational talents and ability to work under pressure and in new environments
  • Good communication skills, both written and oral
  • Good customer service skills
  • Good time management skills
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and decision making
  • Innate drive to succeed and take initiative
  • Good reasoning and problem solving skills

QUALIFICATIONS FOR BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER:

  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Acceptable Criminal Background Check
  • 3-5 years of Business Development/Sales experience
  • General cleaning knowledge - preferred

PHYSICAL DEMANDS FOR BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER:
The work requires routine walking, standing, bending and carrying items weighing up to thirty pounds.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
