Sales Representative - Online Training Courses

Insurance Education Association (IEA)

Position Type: Part Time, Remote, California Residents Only

Base Salary: $30.00/hr + Commission


Position Overview

The Sales Representative is responsible for driving sales of our online training courses tailored for California workers' compensation professionals and HR departments nationwide. This role emphasizes outbound calls and requires an individual with strong communication skills, tenacity, and a passion for helping professionals get the training they need. Applicants must reside in California!

Key Responsibilities

  • Outbound Sales: Conduct a high volume of outbound calls daily to prospective clients, effectively explaining the benefits of our online training courses.
  • Targeted Outreach: Focus on selling online training courses for California workers' compensation professionals and nationwide HR departments.
  • Sales Targets & Metrics: Consistently meet or exceed monthly and yearly sales targets. Maintain a strong understanding of sales metrics and strive to optimize performance based on feedback and analysis.
  • Product Mastery: Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of our training courses to effectively advise clients and upsell when appropriate.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with potential and existing clients, ensuring their needs are met and addressing any queries or concerns.
  • Sales Administration: Ensure proper follow-up, order processing, and record maintenance using the company's CRM system.


Qualifications and Skills

  • High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or related field is a plus.
  • Prior experience in a high-volume outbound sales role, preferably in e-learning, professional training, workers’ compensation or human resources.
  • Proficient in using CRM software and other sales-related technological tools.
  • Strong verbal communication skills with a knack for persuasive conversations.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and goal oriented.
  • Ability to work in a remote setting, ensuring a consistent and reliable online presence during working hours.
