Position Overview:
As an AutoCAD Drafter specializing in commercial solar systems, you will play a crucial role in the design and drafting process of solar energy projects. Working closely with our engineering, sales operations, and project management teams, you will transform conceptual designs into precise and accurate technical drawings using AutoCAD software. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in drafting, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for sustainable energy solutions.

Responsibilities:

Drafting and Design:
Create detailed, accurate, and comprehensive technical drawings for commercial solar system projects using AutoCAD.
Work closely with engineers and project managers to convert design concepts into precise construction documents.
Project Collaboration:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between design specifications and project requirements.
Assist in all stages of project design.
Quality Control:
Conduct thorough reviews of drawings to ensure accuracy, adherence to industry standards, and compliance with local building codes and regulations.
Address and resolve any discrepancies or issues identified during the review process.
Documentation:
Maintain organized and up-to-date project documentation, including drawing revisions and design changes.
Assist in the preparation of technical documentation for project submittals and approvals.
Continuous Improvement:
Stay informed about industry trends, advancements in solar technology, and updates to relevant codes and standards.
Actively contribute to process improvements and implement best practices in drafting and design.

Qualifications:

Proficiency in AutoCAD software with a minimum of 5 years of experience in drafting (AA in AutoCAD preferred, not required).
Strong understanding of solar energy systems and their components (preferred, not required).
Ability to read and understand construction plans.
Ability to read and draw single line diagrams.
Familiarity with Blue Beam or Adobe.
Excellent written and verbal communication and collaboration skills.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality work while meeting established deadlines.
