Must-Haves:
- Local to LA/OC – Must live in the LA or Orange County areas to best serve our target demographic.
- People Person with High EQ – Skilled in building trust, adapting to new people, and creating long-lasting client relationships.
- Mandarin Fluency – Fluent in Mandarin to engage effectively with our primary client base.
- Self-motivated Closer – Must be ready to hustle, meet people, and close deals independently.
- Professionalism and Punctuality – Represent the company with high standards.
- Sales-Driven – This role is ideal for those who want to grow their earnings based on sales performance.
- Financial Knowledge – Willing to study for FINRA exams and develop a strong understanding of financial markets (we sponsor exams for promising candidates).
Role Overview: In this hybrid position, you’ll focus on connecting primarily with accredited US-based Chinese investors in the Los Angeles and Orange County, CA region, educating them on alternative investment opportunities. We need someone who’s proactive, excited about sales, and works well independently and with a team. UpMarket is a fast-growing wealth-tech start-up looking for motivated and passionate team players to come help us build the best-in-class alternative investment platform for high-net-worth investors. Team members have the ability to contribute to the vision, influence the culture, and participate in the equity of the company as their roles grow.
Key Responsibilities:
- : Actively seek out new client opportunities by attending local events, such as alumni gatherings, business functions, community events, and other networking venues where our target client base may be present. Develop and nurture client relationships that lead to long-term business.
- : Gain a deep understanding of private markets to effectively educate and inform clients on alternative investment opportunities. Stay informed on industry trends and investment strategies to provide value and insights to clients, positioning yourself as a knowledgeable and trusted advisor.
- : Meet or exceed sales targets through disciplined client engagement, proactive follow-ups, and consistent outreach efforts. Track progress toward goals and maintain a strong pipeline for continuous growth.
- : Build or leverage an existing network of contacts within the Chinese investment community to create new sales opportunities. Cultivate strategic partnerships and generate referrals to expand your reach.
- : Demonstrate empathy and adaptability in conversations with clients, helping them feel comfortable and understood. Build trust by actively listening and responding thoughtfully to clients' needs and concerns.
- : While much of the role is independent, collaborate with team members to share insights and tactics, develop strategies, and enhance client engagement techniques that lead to higher conversion rates.
Compensation:Base salary plus commission – potential earnings between $49,400 and $248,000, based on performance.
