Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the parts department operations with a focus on efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
- Develop and implement inventory management strategies to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize overstock and obsolescence.
- Handle parts inquiries and orders promptly and accurately, ensuring a high level of service to our customers and service department.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating pricing and delivery terms to achieve favorable conditions for the company.
- Use industry-specific software for inventory management, ordering, and tracking parts.
- Analyze sales, trends, and inventory levels to forecast needs and plan purchases accordingly.
- Coordinate with the service department to ensure the timely availability of parts for repair and maintenance jobs.
- Train and mentor parts department staff, fostering a team-oriented environment that encourages continuous improvement and excellence.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the powersports industry, including new products, trends, and regulatory issues.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, as well as legal and safety requirements related to parts management and handling.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Parts Manager or similar role in the powersports, automotive, or related industry.
- Strong knowledge of powersports vehicles, parts, and accessories.
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- High school diploma required
- Bilingual EN/FR an asset
