Solar Business Development Representative

Earning Potential: $150,000 - $200,000 a year

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule: Be available on a flexible, regular schedule with potential engagement opportunities across various hours each day.

Job Summary

Are you passionate about renewable energy and ready to make a difference? Join a top solar provider in Western Canada as a Solar Business Development Representative and help drive sustainable energy adoption. In this role, you’ll generate leads, create tailored proposals, and recommend solar products based on clients' energy needs, site conditions, and budget. You'll work with residential and commercial customers to design and promote custom solar solutions, increasing awareness of the environmental and financial benefits of solar. Your efforts will contribute to a cleaner future while helping to expand our customer base.

Position Overview:As a Business Development Representative, you'll be on the front lines of generating new leads and creating excitement around our solar products. This role involves engaging directly with potential customers to explain the benefits of switching to solar energy and sparking interest through face-to-face interactions. You will work closely with the sales team to identify qualified leads and contribute to our mission of bringing clean energy to more homes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and connect with prospective customers to create interest in solar energy.
  • Educate homeowners about the financial and environmental benefits of solar.
  • Preparing documentation, gathering necessary client information, and scheduling client meetings.
  • Answering client questions, providing product details, and addressing inquiries to build customer interest in solar energy solutions.
  • Coordinate with your Sales Team to help meet sales targets and track progress, ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Gather information about customers' needs to assist in creating tailored proposals.
  • Collaborate with the sales and engineering teams to ensure seamless handoff of leads.
  • Meet and exceed lead generation targets to support the company's growth.
  • Proactively engage with local communities and potential clients through direct outreach to generate leads and increase awareness of our solar solutions.
  • Develop a strong presence in target neighborhoods, connecting with homeowners and helping them understand the benefits of renewable energy options.

Qualifications:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Background in sales or customer service; experience in the solar industry is a plus, minimum 1 years experience
  • Comfortable with technology and using CRM tools.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $100,000.00-$150,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week

Additional pay:
