Job Brief:

In this role you'll have the opportunity to support the Tech for Good team as we educate and work with nonprofits on improving their cybersecurity. Thousands of nonprofits around the world trust us to help them safely use the technology they need, and we're just getting started. We're looking for a mission-driven collaborator to support our nonprofit marketing content and programs.

In this unique role, you'll combine your business acumen, content skills, and nonprofit expertise to help nonprofits understand the benefits of our technology. You'll support message development, copywriting, sales enablement and delivery of these items. This is a great opportunity for collaborators with multi-disciplinary experience who can confidently source input and feedback from cross-functional teams.

The core purpose of this role is to broaden the company's impact through customer and user growth but this is not a traditional marketing role: you'll optimize for social impact, always centering on the needs and interests of our nonprofit customers. Tech for Good is a part of the Social Impact and Sustainability Team (Okta for Good).

What you'll achieve in this role:

  • Develop, plan and execute a content plan across a variety of tactics with input from the rest of the team
  • Build content that communicates the value of cybersecurity to a diverse range of customer and prospect stakeholders including nonprofit staff, IT practitioners and executives.
  • Build or update relevant content centered around customer problems and use cases that can be leveraged across sales and marketing teams.
  • Collaborate with regional marketing teams on Nonprofit event planning.
  • Partner with Okta's internal creative team and external vendors to develop creative concepts, themes and assets to support content promotion.
  • Measure, analyze, report, and optimize the performance of content.
  • Support our nonprofit GTM positioning and messaging, sales enablement, and partner programs.
  • Support the team in other areas like project management, thought partnership to the rest of the Okta for Good team, and long-term content planning.

Skills:

  • 3+ years experience in content marketing, campaign management, or product marketing functions.
  • Exemplary copywriting and storytelling skills, with ability to translate technical concepts into simple language.
  • Exceptional project management skills and attention to detail with ability to handle multiple projects at once and drive alignment across multiple stakeholders; experience with Asana a plus.
  • Strong understanding of marketing funnel metrics and optimization tactics to maximize content performance.
  • Strong analytical and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Self-sufficient: can complete tasks and projects both independently and within groups with limited management required.
