Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team. As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving growth and expanding our customer base. You will play a key role in identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and implementing effective sales strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and qualify potential leads through strategic prospecting and any other efforts.
- Manage a highly probable sales pipeline with good conversion.
- Build and maintain a contact database, verifying leads using LinkedIn and other lead generation tools.
- Regular follow-ups through calls, emails, and meetings, aiming to convert leads into deals.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop customized solutions and proposals that address client objectives, managing the sales lifecycle.
- Lead pre-sales activities, including product demonstrations, presentations, and coordinating and scheduling any necessary meetings with internal SMEs.
- Leverage marketing and campaign strategies to engage with key audience segments and drive revenue.
- Conduct thorough research to understand client needs, pain points, and requirements.
- Negotiate contract terms and close deals to achieve sales targets and revenue goals.
- Manage and optimize account-based marketing efforts to generate more revenue from existing leads.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.
- Qualify prospects and develop an approach strategy for target groups.
- Collaborate with technical SMEs, Legal, Finance, Marketing, and Bid management teams to create proposals.
- Manage the entire sales cycle, from generation to closure.
- Drive 'old-new' sales and handle account escalations effectively.
- Ensure timely completion of collections as defined by Finance.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and other stakeholders, including effective communication and understanding of clients' needs.
- Prepare and deliver regular reports on sales performance, pipeline status, and revenue forecasts.
- Plan and be prepared for any travel that is needed for doing client-side visits, any marketing / networking events where the organization would want to participate.
Requirements/ Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree.
- Minimum of 3 years of sales experience in IT Services, preferably in ERP/ SaaS sales.
- Results-driven, self-motivated individual able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proven track record of qualifying and converting leads into sales opportunities and further into deals.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and persuasively.
- Strong knowledge of ERP Sales like NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.
- Strong understanding of pre-sales processes, including needs assessment, solution design, and proposal development.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders.
Additional Skills:
- Experience in IT Services sales, focusing on B2B, SaaS, and high-tech industries.
- Proven ability to meet sales targets and generate revenue.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of end-to-end sales lifecycle and industry verticals.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute business plans.
- Results-oriented mindset focused on revenue growth and target achievement.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with CRM software such as HubSpot/ Zoho/ Salesforce and Microsoft Office Suite.
