This role can be located in any Verizon office.

What you’ll be doing...

This role will be responsible for designing, building and managing sales territories for the Verizon Business Group (VBG) Organization, particularly the Public Sector Segment. You’ll research, strategize and support the Sales team to assist in uncovering and driving additional revenue streams across the business. Being part of this team means that you will manage several complex key initiatives and programs dealing with cross functional organizations and leaders at multiple levels. You will potentially have to deal with highly sensitive information and contribute to strategic discussions regarding the design of a territory with Sales Directors or other executive leadership.

  • Conduct frequent module reviews and research to ensure alignment to the correct segment and sales team members.

  • Annual analysis to facilitate intelligent module management and strategic decision making.

  • Enabling our field sales organizations and driving customer experience through strategic oversight of sales modules.

  • Responding rapidly and comprehensively to all frontline field inquiries with high-quality, time-sensitive support/education/training/troubleshooting until complete issue resolution.

  • Partnering with Finance to consult on potential quota impacts if changes are made to account assignments.

  • Effectively collaborating with other VBG Segments (Mass Markets, Medium Business, and Global Enterprise) on assignments that require movement between segments.

  • Conducting frequent audits to ensure segmentation accuracy and compliance with Federal and company guidelines.

What we’re looking for...

You are Savvy in Sales Strategy and Sales systems (e.g., Salesforce Territories). Efficiency is your middle name – you analyze in order to be successful in making recommendations to achieve specific business goals. You are able to work both independently and collaboratively with others, are detailed oriented and have the ability to work under pressure with tight timelines.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.

  • Three or more years of Business Sales or Sales Operations/Support experience

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Experience managing multiple projects using comprehensive project planning while meeting strict deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.

  • Knowledge of Dun and Bradstreet hierarchy and analysis.

  • Comprehension of the Public Sector or B2B organization.

  • Knowledge of Systems, processes, and procedures including SFDC, and GCH.

  • Project management experience.

  • Proficient knowledge of Verizon reporting systems.

  • Advanced G-Suite, Excel, and PowerPoint skills.

  • Experience in SQL or other BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Salesforce).

  • Strong interpersonal skills and excellent verbal, written, and formal presentation skills.

  • Ability to mentor and train others within Verizon and have the ability to educate key stakeholders on the benefits of a proposed approach.

Where you’ll be working

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and a minimum eight assigned office days per month that will be set by your manager.

If you are hired into a California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Maryland, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, Washington or Washington, D.C. work location, the compensation range for this position is between $77,000.00 and $163,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
