As a Carrier Sales Representative, you will play a key role in expanding our carrier network and driving the success of our logistics operations.
Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic, self-starting Carrier Sales Representative to join our expanding team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with carriers, negotiating rates, and ensuring the efficient and timely transportation of freight. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a deep understanding of the transportation industry, and the ability to build relationships that drive long-term success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing carriers to expand our carrier network.
- Negotiate competitive freight rates and terms to ensure optimal pricing and service levels.
- Coordinate transportation needs with carriers, ensuring timely delivery of freight.
- Collaborate with the operations team to ensure seamless execution of shipments.
- Track and report on carrier performance, including on-time delivery and service levels.
- Manage the onboarding process for new carriers and ensure they comply with all necessary documentation and regulations.
- Resolve any issues that arise with carriers, such as delays, damages, or claims.
- Continuously identify new carrier opportunities to expand service coverage and capacity.
- Monitor market trends and adjust strategies to maintain competitive advantage.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in carrier sales, logistics, transportation, or a related field preferred.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure competitive rates and favorable terms.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-centric approach.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve issues quickly and effectively.
- Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS) and logistics software is a plus.
- Knowledge of industry regulations, compliance, and safety standards is a plus.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
