The Commercial Sales Representative - B2B at JCPenney will support the Commercial B2B team with expanding their business by acquiring new customers and driving sales. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth by identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and effectively promoting our products and services. Being self motivated is an essential attribute to success in this role, as the commercial sales representative will be responsible for acquiring new customers and building effective sales strategy to drive volume. A candidate with a strong network of relationships in the hospitality industry is preferred.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve sales targets and increase market share.
- Identify potential clients and generate leads through research, networking, and referrals.
- Conduct presentations and product demonstrations to prospective clients.
- Negotiate orders and close sales to meet or exceed revenue goals.
- Maintain and manage a sales pipeline to track prospects and follow up on leads.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
- Collaborate with marketing and product teams to align sales strategies with company goals.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to provide valuable insights to the team.
- Collaborate with the JCPenney B2B team in building sales forecasts for product planning.
- Collaborate in identifying the appropriate product mix for target B2B hospitality customers.
- Navigate customer service opportunities as needed.
Core Competencies & Accomplishments:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or relevant work experience (10-15 years).
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in a commercial setting (5+ years).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build rapport with clients and understand their needs.
- Self-motivated with a results-oriented approach.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
- Previous sales experience in the hospitality industry preferred
