Job Overview
Hoover Paint Store is seeking a motivated and results-driven Outside Sales Representative to join our dynamic sales team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing new business opportunities and managing relationships with contractors and clients in your assigned territory. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in B2B sales, customer service, and business development, along with a passion for the paint industry and helping contractors resolve issues.
Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the construction and contracting sectors through cold calling, networking, and relationship building.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing contractors and clients to ensure satisfaction and foster long-term partnerships.
- Conduct market research to identify potential clients, understand industry trends, and tailor solutions to meet specific contractor needs.
- Present Hoover Paint products and services to prospective customers, demonstrating how our solutions can resolve their challenges and enhance their projects.
- Collaborate with the inside sales team to ensure seamless communication and support for contractors and clients.
- Utilize Salesforce to manage leads, track sales activities, and report on progress effectively.
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and contractor meetings to promote Hoover Paint products and expand your professional network.
- Provide feedback to management regarding market conditions, competition, and product performance to inform strategic decisions.
Requirements
- Proven experience in outside sales or direct sales roles, preferably in the paint or construction industry.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to effectively manage client expectations and resolve issues.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present information clearly to contractors and clients.
- Familiarity with paint products and applications is highly desirable.
- Experience with cold calling techniques and lead generation strategies tailored to the construction market.
- Proficient in using Salesforce or similar CRM software for managing sales processes and client interactions.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong organizational skills.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
