What you will do
As s Senior People & Culture Business Partner, you will be an integral member of the Group Trucks Technology HR Team and local Division leadership teams. You will work closely with the business to understand their needs and develop strategic initiatives to reach their goals.


Responsibilities Include:
  • Workforce Planning
    • Define the capabilities, experience and timing needed to achieve the short- and long-term technology strategies.
    • Ensure the proper level of competence exists, while understanding the importance of different local and global talent sources.
  • HR Rhythm of the Business
    • Oversight and ownership of annual HR business processes as aligned with the Volvo Group HR function.
  • Talent Management and Planning
    • Participate in the Volvo talent and succession planning process to identify key talent, business critical positions and ensure internal and external succession pipelines.
    • Understand, advocate, and leverage the Volvo Group University offerings to ensure appropriate investment in the development of employee talent pools, leadership, and other key areas of talent.
  • Total Rewards
    • Partner with identified resources to ensure the compensation strategy and framework fit with the market and technology areas from which we seek to attract and then retain talent.
  • Leadership Partnering
    • Coach and advise leaders regarding HR matter for their teams.
  • Volvo Culture and Values
    • Embed the Volvo values through leaders and employees in GTT by supporting the ongoing culture elements and focus on the desired culture outcomes.
  • Change Management, Projects, and other related work
    • Implement sound change management processes to help ensure the success of new initiatives and concepts.
  • Metrics and Insights
    • Own the talent metrics to enable lagging and leading insights to help leverage talent as a business enabler.

Who are you?
You are a a respected, capable and trusted Human Resources Business Partner with experience working in complex, matrixed organizations balancing both local and global needs. You understand the importance of developing strong relationships across all levels of the business and are able to leverage those relationships to meet organizational goals. You are a trustworthy team-player who understands the importance of demonstrating the Volvo Values through your actions. You believe in being proactive and forward thinking in solution development and use your strong communication skills to advocate the people agenda within the business.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related HR field; Master’s Degree preferred.
  • 10 years of related Human Resources experience.
  • Experience collaborating across HR disciplines including compensation, recruiting, employee relations, immigration, and talent management.
  • Experience facilitating change management efforts within an organization.
  • Ability to develop and present data analytics for business insights.
  • Authentic and ethical approach, understanding when to exercise discretion and keep confidences.
  • Solid business acumen with an understanding of financial/operational business drivers, competitor landscape, market trends, etc.
  • HRIS experience, preferably SAP and a cloud-based system.
