As we expand our client base, we are looking for an experienced and motivated Sales Representative to join our team.

Job Overview:

The Business Development Representative (BDR) plays a critical role in the early stages of the sales process by identifying, prospecting, and generating high-quality leads for the sales team. As the first point of contact for potential clients, BDRs are responsible for initiating relationships, nurturing prospects, and qualifying leads to ensure a healthy sales pipeline. This role is integral to driving new business opportunities and supporting the company’s growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Generation & Prospecting: Research and identify potential clients through various channels, including databases, online research, LinkedIn, industry events, and referrals. Maintain a robust list of target prospects to drive outreach efforts.
  • Cold Outreach: Initiate contact with prospects via cold calls, cold emails, and social media outreach (primarily LinkedIn) to engage and qualify leads. Develop tailored messaging to capture the interest of potential clients and set up initial conversations.
  • Lead Qualification: Assess the suitability of prospects based on specific criteria, such as company size, industry, and needs. Qualify leads to determine their potential as long-term clients for the sales team.
  • Sales Pipeline Management: Collaborate with Account Executives and Sales Managers to transfer qualified leads into the sales pipeline. Ensure that all lead data is accurately logged into the CRM system, tracking progress and maintaining up-to-date records.
  • Networking & Relationship Building: Actively engage in networking opportunities, both online and offline, to establish connections with key decision-makers and influencers within target organizations. Build and nurture long-term relationships that contribute to business growth.
  • Client Relationship Management: Maintain regular communication with existing clients and prospects, ensuring a strong, positive relationship throughout the sales cycle. Follow up with leads after initial meetings to provide additional information and answer questions.
  • Collaboration with Sales Team: Work closely with the sales team to develop and refine outreach strategies, share market insights, and provide feedback on lead quality. Ensure a seamless transition of prospects from the BDR phase to the Account Executive phase.
  • Market Research & Industry Insights: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and market changes to better target prospects and adapt outreach strategies accordingly.

Qualifications:

  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field would be ideal, but we’re more focused on your experience and drive to succeed.
  • Sales Experience: You’ve been in sales before – ideally in the security, military services, or a similar industry. You know how to prospect, close deals, and exceed targets. Bonus points if you have a passion for the security sector.
  • Communication Skills: You know how to engage and influence people. Whether you’re negotiating a deal of explaining our services, your communication skills are top-notch.
  • Tech-Savvy: You’re comfortable using CRM software and sales reporting tools. You can track your progress, manage leads, and keep everything running smoothly.
  • Integrity & Reliability: We take our mission seriously, and we’re looking for someone who shares that same commitment to doing the right thing. We need someone reliable who takes pride in their work and values long-term relationships.
  • Industry Insight: While not required, any experience or understanding of the security/protection industry will give you a leg up. If you're new to it, a quick learning curve and a passion for security will go a long way.

Schedule: In-office Monday-Friday. Estimated hours each week: 35-40 hours

Pay: $33.00/hour (with bonus opportunities)

Start Date: ASAP

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $33.00 per hour
