CONSTRUCTION SALES REPRESENTATIVE

Rent Ready provides multifamily apartment turnover, cleaning and renovation services throughout Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia.

We are a growing company, and are looking for a motivated and well-spoken Construction Sales Representative to join our team in Stafford, VA. The construction sales representative will be responsible for developing new leads, communicating with customers, understanding their needs, and ensuring a smooth sales process. You should be able to close sales and meet targets.

To be successful as an construction sales representative you should be able to build instant rapport and achieve customer satisfaction. A top construction sales representative should also be very competitive and a good listener.

Summary

To provide direct construction sales and administrative support for our construction division across a variety of tasks. The ideal candidate has experience in the multifamily industry and sales industry. The ideal candidate is a highly energetic, highly organized, self-motived team player with a strong attention to detail.

Ideal candidate has experience as a account executive, business development representative, regional sales manager, sales manager, sales development representative, and/or experience in construction sales.

Responsibilities

  • Creating and maintaining a database of current and potential customers in sales management software
  • Communicating with customers, making outbound calls to potential customers, and following up on leads
  • Understanding customers' needs and identifying sales opportunities
  • Answering potential customers' questions and sending additional information
  • Researching and qualifying new leads and referrals
  • Preparing and submitting client proposals and Cost Estimate Guides as directed
  • Maintaining and following up on all proposals
  • Upselling products and services
  • Closing sales and achieving sales targets
  • Keeping up with product and service information and updates
  • Explaining and demonstrating features of products and services
  • Staying informed about competing products and services
  • Maintaining business LinkedIn, Google Listing and social media platforms
  • Creating, leading and maintaining digital marketing initiatives (i.e. email campaigns, client satisfaction surveys)

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience: 1 - 2 years inside sales experience (experience working in multifamily industry strongly preferred)
  • Experience working with Quickbase, Salesforce or similar CRM
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Proficient in Outlook and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Professional phone and email conduct
  • Outstanding customer service
  • Highly organized
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to follow directions
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Ability to stay on task and meet deadlines with limited supervision
  • Ability to work alone and collaboratively
  • Transportation: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required

Compensation

  • Salary based on experience
  • $60-65k base salary plus 2% commission and vehicle allowance
  • The successful Construction Sales Representative will receive raises based on contribution to the company, not length of service

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year

  • Sales: 5 years (Required)
  • Multifamily / construction: 5 years (Preferred)
  • Construction Industry: 5 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • Driver's License (Required)

Ability to Relocate:

  • Virginia: Relocate before starting work (Required)
