Empire Workforce Solutions (EWS) continues to grow nationally, and we are looking to hire an experienced Business Development Manager in the Hayward, CA area. We are looking for a highly motivated and competitive sales professional with 5+ years of proven sales experience in the Staffing Industry. This individual will need to possess a positive, winning attitude. Our company provides Light Industrial, Skilled Trades, Transportation and Professional staffing support to our client group. Bring a great attitude and work ethic and the possibilities are endless.

Location:

The ideal candidate will reside in Hayward, CA or surrounding areas, San Leandro, Union City, Fremont, Pleasanton.

Role Overview:

The successful candidate will generate leads and drive sales. The Business Development Manager’s responsibilities include submitting regular sales reports to management, informing potential and existing customers of our services’ features and benefits, and being the liaison for any questions or troubleshooting that your customers’ may need. You should also be able to create as well as present strong persuasive sales proposals to customers to encourage sales and repeat business. To be successful as a Business Development Manager, you should be persuasive and have excellent negotiation skills. Ultimately, an exceptional Sales Manager should be able to demonstrate effective communication and customer service skills to continually meet or exceed sales targets (Business Development Managers at Empire do not manage other BD Sales members, they are tasked with just managing their book of business).

Business Development Manager Responsibilities:

  • Hunter mentality- Using cold calling, networking, prospecting, social media to identify new business opportunities.
  • Building and sustaining long-lasting relationships with new and existing customers by understanding their needs, providing in-depth product knowledge and impeccable service.
  • Traveling within an assigned sales territory to conduct face-to-face meetings with existing and potential customers.
  • Continually meeting or exceeding sales targets by selling company services to new and existing customers.
  • Generate leads and drive sales.
  • Maintaining an accurate record of all leads, customer accounts, and sales.
  • Collaborating with the Empire marketing department to expand brand presence through the creation of suitable marketing materials for customers.
  • Developing and implementing an effective sales strategy to drive sales.
  • Strategically negotiating with potential and existing customers to close sales.
  • Proven outside sales experience.
  • Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.
  • Strong consultative sales skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills with potential Customers and inside Support Staff.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
