Roberts Oxygen a leading distributor of beverage, industrial, medical, specialty gases and welding equipment has the position for you. We are actively seeking an Outside Sales Representative for our Portsmouth, VA territory.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience developing new territory customers while continuing to foster and maintain existing customer relationships. Responsibilities and requirements will include but are not limited to:
- Successfully contribute to the Company’s growth and financial goals through territory sales.
- Increase visibility of company capabilities, products, and services.
- Create and deliver sales presentations, product demonstrations, customer quotes, and service agreements.
- Understand customer needs to develop appropriate recommendations for products and services.
- Track and report financial and sales activities.
- Negotiate pricing based on profitability analysis for the specific products and services.
- Address and resolve customer questions and inquiries.
- Positively represents the Company and proactively maintain customer relations.
- Have a sense of urgency and provide excellent customer service.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 2 years of sales or related experience in the compressed gases and or metal fabrication industry.
- Strong computers skills and usage of Microsoft Office Products to include Word, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint and internet searching.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to travel within and outside the sales territory.
- Capable of lifting at least 75 pounds.
- Willingness to assist other departments within the Company.
- Excellent driving record and if selected, ability to pass pre-employment screenings.
