Sales Engineer

Push the boundaries of tech. In your sweatpants.

We’re looking for a Sales Engineer to help us change the way the world works, with Parallels: anytime, anywhere, any-device productivity. Here, you’ll provide expertise on the Parallels products with a focus on Parallels Remote Application Server, Parallels Secure Workspace and the newly-launched products Parallels DaaS and Parallels Browser Isolation during the pre-sales phase of projects. You will be a key contributor in the sales processes, getting new customers and partners onboarded.

The ideal candidate is someone who is both technically proficient with an understanding of our industry, and who enjoy working with clients, be it to take on a challenge in a moment’s notice, or provide a presentation about Parallels to partners and customers. Additionally, a willingness to travel to (marketing) events to provide on-booth or on-stage support to the sales & marketing colleagues.

As a Sales Representative, you will:

  • Perform detailed demonstrations of Parallels products.
  • Provide in depth technical assistance to potential customers.
  • Take ownership of the Proof of Concepts and make sure they are finished in time and meeting the customers/partners requirements. Actively participate in the design, implementation, and support of Parallels products.
  • Provide guidance, recommendations, and expert advice on technical issues.
  • Maintain an advanced understanding of all Parallels and related competitors’ products.
  • Develop project concepts and project proposals to solve customer needs and requests.
  • Work with Account Managers, Sales Management and Channel Partners to effectively schedule the use of technical resources to support selling efforts.
  • Coordinate all activities related to technical sales support for potential customers and existing accounts.
  • Plan and conduct a series of Technical Training sessions and Webinars, both online and at Channel Partners and Customers.
  • Mentor and assist in training Sales Engineers, new hires and the sales team as required.

What YOU bring to the team:

  • A competitive mindset, and desire to compete with Citrix, VMware, and other competitors in the market.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in Sales Engineering for a product operating in the same domains as Parallels: application/desktop virtualization, security, IT infrastructure.
  • Hands on experience in at least one, though preferable more, of the following technologies: Parallels RAS, Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktop, VMWare Horizon, Microsoft RDS, or Azure Virtual Desktop.
  • Deep knowledge and experience with Microsoft Remote Desktop Services - TS/RDSH/Application/Desktop and VDI Publishing.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of IT infrastructure solutions relating to Systems, Network and Security
  • Experience in cloud computing platforms mainly in Microsoft Azure and Amazon AWS.
  • Ability to perform product demonstrations and presentations to technical and executive audiences.
  • Strong writing skills with ability to create technical documentation.
  • Strong presentation, communication, and training skills.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in Sales Engineering or as an IT Engineer role.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in implementing and/or administering applications and desktops virtualization systems.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in cloud-based computing.
  • Openness to travel annually.
