Job Description:
CoBank's Data Engineering (DE) team is seeking an Associate Data Engineer to assist in the design, development, and maintenance of our data infrastructure. This role involves working closely with senior engineers to support the ingestion, transformation, and management of large datasets while ensuring data governance and compliance standards are upheld. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, has an understanding of data engineering principles, and is excited about contributing to scalable data solutions.
Essential Functions:
1. Assists in the design and implementation of ETL processes for data integration in cloud environments.
2. Collaborates with senior engineers to maintain and optimize database structures.
3. Supports data governance and compliance initiatives.
4. Troubleshoots data-related issues and contribute to process improvements.
5. Documents data engineering processes and best practices.
Education:

- Bachelor's Degree in computer science, information systems or a relevant discipline. preferred
Prior Experience (ideally 1-2 years) in data engineering or a related field, required

3. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
4. Eagerness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.

6. Familiarity with on-premises development environments (preferred).
7. Familiarity with AWS services and cloud-native data tools (preferred).
8. Experience with on-premises and hybrid cloud environments (preferred).

The typical base pay range for this role is between $77,951 - $98,354. Compensation may vary based on individual job-related knowledge, skills, expertise, and experience. This position is eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program driven by organization and individual performance.
