Job Description
Summary: Sales professional with extensive knowledge of subsea production systems and related subsea control technology. Highly motivated individual with excellent work ethic, responsible for generating sales leads, prospects, new customers and maintaining/growing relationships with current accounts and customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular and numerous sales appointments each week with sales leads, prospective clients and established customers and accounts.
- Implement sales and marketing strategy for the company.
- Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of company’s products and services, and promote the benefits and value that company provides its clients.
- Responsible for response to RFQs received by the company. Review job specifications and engineering drawings to get an understanding of the scope of work and communicate with clients to clarify technical and commercial queries.
- Coordinate internal review and submit proposals and quotations including write-up, costing, T & Cs etc.
- Schedule client meetings to present company products and capabilities to customers through meetings, lunch-and-learns etc.
- Contribute to company website, company presentations and brochures.
- Contribute to advertising strategy for the company.
- Research industry to identify short, medium and long term projects to target for sale of company products and equipment.
- Identify industry needs in terms of new products and communicate to management
- Represent company at industry trade shows
Education and Experience:
- Min. 5 years experience in the subsea oil & gas industry – with a strong emphasis in engineering or operations/service.
- Min. 3 years of Sales experience preferred.
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Must have excellent presentation skills
- Must have a thorough knowledge of the domestic and international subsea industry and have extensice industry contacts
- Must have thorough understanding of subsea production systems including field architecture, flowline and umbilical hardware, subsea trees, subsea controls systems, manifolds, subsea distribution systems, ROV tools, offshore installation equipment, services, etc.
- Experience building relationships with customers and team members.
- Experience working with CRM (Customer Relationship Management) systems, and actively utilizing CRM as a sales tool.
- Proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Successful track record in sales, account management, and providing excellent customer service;
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work on multifunction teams;
- Ability to balance customer demands against company constraints;
- Impeccable reputation and high ethical standards;
- Knowledge and understanding of Foreign Corrupt Practices Act requirements;
- Self motivated and willing to take initiative with limited direction.
Physical Demands:
- Physical requirements are those typically found in an office environment
Location and Work Environment:
- This position is located in Houston – Texas – USA.
- Travel to client offices, and other locations as needed to make sales calls, interface with customers, and other third party stakeholders.
