We are currently looking for an Account Payable Clerk to join our team

What you can expect in this role:

Bitfarms, through its operating entity Backbone Hosting Solutions Inc., is a publicly listed blockchain infrastructure company (Nasdaq/TSX: BITF). To support its growing operations, Bitfarms is hiring an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team.

Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be responsible for verifying and recording supplier’s invoices in the ERP system, reconciling internal records with supplier statements, and initiating the payment process. The Account Payable Clerk provides accounting and administrative support to the finance department.

More specifically, here are some of the key responsibilities:

• Recording supplier invoices in the ERP system, ensuring the accuracy of invoices, comparing with purchase orders, and liaising with vendors; (50%).
• Maintaining weekly payment schedules and initiating payments in the ERP system and banking platform; (20%).
• Performing monthly reconciliations with suppliers' statements of account and follow up as needed; (10%).
• Maintaining the vendor listings and information within the ERP systems; (10%).
• Perform all other related tasks and be the main contact point between the company and the suppliers; (10%).

Here's the profile we're looking for:

• Hold an AEC, DEP, or DEC degree in accounting.
• 2 years of working experience in a similar position.
• Strong Microsoft Office suite user (i.e., Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, Sharepoint).
• Bilingual, with fluent French.

• Strong work ethic and sense of ownership.
• Team player who is also able to work independently.
• Flexible and adaptable; experience working in a dynamic environment would be an asset.
• Good communication skills.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Experience with accounting software (Microsoft Dynamics Business Central would be an asset).
