EHIM’s TPA division has an exciting opportunity for a Strategic Account Executive. We are looking for an experienced, passionate, and motivated Account Executive to join our team. This role will include relationship development/management, in depth needs analysis, consultative selling and benefit program design. The Strategic Account Executive serves as the primary contact to assigned clients and/or brokers with the goal of delivering the complete EHIM experience. Each Strategic Account Executive is
responsible for executing detailed, comprehensive, and accurate group implementations, group wide changes, group terminations, and participating in strategy meetings with the broker and/or client. In addition, a Strategic Account Executive is expected to process reports, interpret data/analytics in a comprehensive manner, and clearly present detailed reporting to clients and brokers with an action plan and recommendations that are aligned with EHIM’s corporate philosophies. The Strategic Account Executive must also be able to tackle challenging questions which require in-depth review, analysis, evaluation, and detailed preparation.
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:
- All aspects of the client relationship including retention, client satisfaction, representation of EHIM in the client’s strategic business planning, quarterly/annual
performance reviews, and continued partnership between EHIM and Client and the Broker. - Understanding key players, competitors, trends, and client/TPA needs and how they align with EHIM’s products and services.
- Initiating and participating in medical benefits strategy development with Client/Broker and TPA (if applicable) to favorably position EHIM within their benefits portfolio and continuing to provide value-added services.
- Successful implementations of all assigned Clients.
- Successful execution of group wide changes on behalf of each Client.
- Day-to-day management of Client.
- Client renewals/performance reviews no less than quarterly and annually.
- Properly and appropriately directing escalation issues between EHIM and Client/Broker to applicable EHIM departments and at all times maintaining engagement during the escalation process through completion/resolution.
- Complete awareness and understanding of points of connectivity between EHIM and Client’s trading partners (e.g. eligibility vendors, data mining vendors, stoploss carriers, etc).
- Complete understanding of all data feeds between EHIM and Client’s Trading Partners.
- Establishing and defining EHIM’s capabilities within the Client’s benefits strategy.
- Effectively communicating Client’s intentions and expectations to internal EHIM team that supports effective delivery of service.
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Associates Degree or equivalent experience in healthcare administration is required.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in healthcare administration, or equivalent experience in healthcare working for a health insurance company or agent/agency.
- Must have a strong understanding of administration/processing of medical, dental, and vision claims
- Must be fluent and subject matter expert in flexible spending accounts, health reimbursement accounts (HRA), and health savings accounts (HSA)
- Demonstrate knowledge within the insurance market and experience working with agents, clients, carriers, TPAs, and PBMs
- Must have strong customer service orientation and excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with management, team members, clients, medical providers, and plan members
- Proficient in PC skills in Windows based applications, especially MS Word and Excel
- Willing to be flexible and quickly adapt to the changing needs in the department
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail, dependable, and professional
