Job Description

Job Summary:
Clearwater Analytics is rapidly evolving to be a multi-product company that is launching innovative products to simplify the entire investment Lifecyle. To help us maintain and accelerate our pace of innovation through efficient systems, processes, insightful product analytics, and consistent communication, we are seeking an analytically minded, and highly organized Product Operations Manager. You will partner with the Chief Product Officer (CPO) and enable the product team to focus on product innovation.
You will oversee all product operations and execution systems, processes, and organizational schedules for the product management, design and technical writing teams. You will build product analytics systems, conduct strategic analysis for continuous improvement and analyze the data. You will communicate and collaborate both internally with products and technology teams as well as with other stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
Systems and Processes
  • Take ownership of all systems and tools used by product organization including but not limited to road mapping, market research, prototyping, usage and adoption.
  • Gather requirements from PMs, research market tools, lead evaluations and make recommendations. Manage vendor relationships.
  • Understand best practices of operations from peer companies and make recommendations on how to operate more efficiently and effectively.
  • Solicit regular feedback on tools and identify impediments for the team. Build solutions to address the issues.
  • Develop and document the norms and standards for tool use within product organization.
  • Build processes for product related client facing processes like end of life (EOL) and end of sales (EOS) and client migration to modern versions of modules.
Product Analytics
  • Build and maintain product adoption and impact metrics and targets covering usage, penetration and density across client base, markets, and market share.
  • Write requirements for reporting and work with data sciences team to build monthly and quarterly reports and dashboards representing all products across their maturity cycle.
  • Evaluate metrics monthly and come up with thesis on how product adoption and usage is progressing.
  • Be an expert partner for the PM team to interpret the data accurately.
Customer Research
  • Assist CPO in scheduling and organizing product advisory forums.
  • Organize internal systems and documentation to gather client feedback.
  • Roll out client facing ideas and feedback forum and drive client usage.
  • Organize user research forums twice a year.
  • Partner with CS, operations teams for twice a year CSAT surveys.
Coordination and Communications
  • Manage the schedule and updates to top level product documents such as the company’s quarterly updated product roadmap.
  • Build key reports and presentations for executive and senior leadership across product adoption, operations, and strategic initiatives. Present insights, recommendations, and business cases to influence decision-making and garner support for product-related initiatives.
  • Build standard templates and mechanisms for product teams to announce innovations internally and externally.
Required Skills:
  • Solid understanding of agile, scrum, product innovation and maturity processes.
  • Familiarity with product operations tools for requirements gathering, client research, adoption and usage.
  • Ability to balance multiple work streams and priorities in a changing/dynamic environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to create cogent presentations to build data driven narratives.
  • Understanding of product innovation processes across customer research, requirements gathering, design, and release.
  • Analytically minded and facility with numbers
Education and Experience:
  • Technical, Math or Finance undergraduate degree is preferred.
  • 5+ years of working in an operations role in a technology organization as a program manager, project manager or product operations.
  • Overall, 10 years of experience in enterprise software product company.
