Employment: Full-Time, Direct Hire

Salary Range: 70k - 90k

Work Location: Torrance, CA

Work Hours: Mon-Fri 8:30AM-5:30PM (1hr lunch)

Summary:

We are looking for a tech-savvy application sales engineer to assist with the selling and technical support of our products. The Application Sales Engineer's responsibilities include maintaining extensive knowledge of the products' specifications, functions, and processes and assisting to close sales or solve technical questions where technical expertise may be required to fit the customers' needs.

To be successful as an application sales engineer, you should possess an in-depth knowledge of our company's technical products and services and you should be able to relate this knowledge in a way that is understandable to non-technical customers. You should be driven to achieve your new account and opportunity development goals and should have excellent sales and customer service skills.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Service customer by identifying their needs; engineering adaptations of products, equipment, and service including but not limited to the following
  • New account development is the essential part of the job responsibilities by providing highly qualified technical solutions.
  • Provide answers and solutions to customer questions about our products, servicing, and other technical aspects of the product.
  • Develop and deliver product demonstrations and sales presentations that explain key technical aspect of solutions that will benefit customers and prospects.
  • Work with the customer to problem-solve through every hurdle during the sales process.
  • Manage account and inquiry using SFA.
  • Condense sales activities and market information into reports for management.
  • Provide feedback from the market including key accounts, sales representatives, and tradeshows to the team as well as R&D for process or product improvement
  • Conducts market research on an on-going basis to understand the trends and changes that my impact current and future sales.
  • Supports the technical engineer and the promotion team in headquarters by preparing sales promotion materials including white papers, application notes or product videos.
  • Quote preparation and order processing.
  • Contribute to the overall team by accomplishing related operations as needed.


Requirements

  • BS or BA in engineering.
  • Experience in sales and the technology field.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, customer service, and sales skills.
  • The ability to relate technical information to non-technical customers.
  • Excellent technical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good leadership and team working skills.
  • An average of a week per month travel may be required to Northern American Key account to deal with special projects, sales representative, or tradeshows.
