Outside Sales - Shuttle & Spotting
As a Spotting & Shuttle Sales Representative, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, understanding their transportation needs, and providing tailored solutions. You will play a crucial role in driving sales growth and contributing to the overall success of our operations.
Work from Home in the Indianapolis, IN area, with travel to Customer Locations in the area up to 50% of the time.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain long-term relationships with key clients and prospects in the trucking industry.
- Sales Strategy Development: Create and implement effective sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets and revenue goals.
- Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and market conditions to identify new business opportunities.
- Sales Presentations: Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations to potential clients, showcasing our services and value proposition.
- Negotiation: Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements that align with company objectives and client expectations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams (Pricing, Operations, Marketing) to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline progress, and client interactions using CRM software.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills. Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities.
- Working knowledge and understanding of pricing methodologies.
- Strong analytical skills; able to problem solve quickly.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Ability to multi-task and displays good organizational skills to effectively prioritize work and the work of others.
- Ability to lead projects follow up with assigned staff including organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments.
- Ability to foster a cooperative environment.
- Solid working knowledge of common transportation practices
- Ability to analyze processes and make recommendations for improvements.
- Ability to develop, plan, and implement short- and long – range goals.
Education and Experience:
- 3+ years in Transportation.
- Dedicated/Shuttle/Spotting/Full Truckload Dry Van experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Logistics or a related field preferred.
- Sales Experience in Dedicated, Spotting, Shuttling preferred
