Job Description

Langham Logistics partners with forward-thinking companies to provide comprehensive supply chain management solutions that save time and increase revenue for all parties. We don't rely on off-the-shelf solutions; rather we utilize our proven processes and systems and tailor them to meet the exact needs of our clients' company, industry, and business objectives.

We are looking for an exceptional sales representative to join our team and help drive significant growth in our Life Science cold chain services. This position will play a crucial role on the sales team by rapidly scaling our growing platform in this underserved market by leveraging Langham's state-of-the-art network of cGMP facilities and extensive experience in cold chain transportation services. This position will help us in developing and executing new business with existing and new customers leveraging our growing portfolio of facilities and deep 3PL experience.

Key Outcomes Expected

Meet sales targets by effectively managing a pipeline and tracking key metrics. Regularly report on sales activities, market trends, and customer feedback to refine Langham's business strategies.

  • Business Development: Proactively seek and secure new business within the life sciences sector, including pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, and medical devices. Identify high-potential prospects, establish connections, and convert leads into long-term clients to expand Langham's footprint.
  • Strategic Partnerships: Develop deep relationships with clients by understanding their specific supply chain and regulatory needs. Position Langham as a strategic partner that provides specialized, reliable solutions for complex, time-sensitive logistics in life sciences.
  • Solution-Oriented Selling: Partner closely with Langham's operational teams to deliver tailored logistics solutions. Focus on services like temperature-controlled shipments, regulatory-compliant handling, and technology integration that provide end-to-end visibility.
  • Industry Expertise and Consultation: Stay informed on industry regulations, FDA and GMP requirements, and evolving logistics practices. Use this expertise to consult with clients, offering insights that enhance Langham's value and build trust.

Critical Skills and Knowledge

  • Familiarity with life sciences logistics solutions, including cold chain management and regulatory compliance, to address unique client needs.
  • Superior business development experience with demonstrated success in engaging Senior supply chain decision makers
  • In-depth knowledge of transportation and warehouse operations and market trends.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills to establish credibility and build long-lasting partnerships with clients.
  • Demonstrated success in closing over $3 Million in new business to support a growing organization.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess market opportunities, provide custom solutions and make recommendations that align with client objectives
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience with CRM software and Microsoft Office suite; and pipeline management

Experience and Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Sales/Marketing or related field
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of sales experience in the logistics industry or life sciences, with a track record of building relationships and achieving sales goals

Physical Demands: Must be able to work in an office environment, and travel to support sales strategy.
Work environment: Work is performed in an office environment, with some exposure to the warehouse environment for client tours, etc.
