Business Area

SAAS and PAAS - Real-Time/On Demand Asset and Medical Device tracking.

Reports to Jordyn Kime, Sales Enablement and Marketing Manager

Job Purpose

The Business Development Representative (BDR) plays a critical role in driving the growth of our company by identifying and qualifying new business opportunities. This position involves conducting market research, generating leads, and building relationships with potential clients to effectively communicate our value proposition. The BDR will collaborate closely with the sales and marketing teams to develop strategies for outreach and engagement, ensuring a steady pipeline of prospects. By leveraging industry knowledge and strong communication skills, the BDR will contribute to achieving sales targets and expanding our market presence.

Key Responsibilities

The Business Development Representative is responsible for:

  • Lead Generation: Identify and research potential leads through various channels, including social media, industry publications, and referrals.
  • Experience with ZoomInfo is a plus
  • Cold Outreach: Conduct outbound calls, emails, and social media outreach to engage potential clients and generate interest in our products/services.
  • Qualifying Leads: Assess the needs and fit of potential clients to determine their interest and potential for conversion into sales opportunities.
  • CRM Management: Maintain accurate records of all interactions with leads in the CRM system, ensuring data integrity and tracking progress.
  • SFDC and/or HubSpot experience is a plus.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with sales, marketing, and product teams to align strategies and share insights on market trends and customer feedback.
  • Sales Pipeline Development: Contribute to building a robust sales pipeline by scheduling meetings and facilitating introductions between leads and the sales team.
  • Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market changes to effectively position our offerings.
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor and report on key performance metrics, such as lead conversion rates and outreach effectiveness, to assess and improve strategies.
  • Follow-up: Conduct timely follow-ups with leads and prospects to nurture relationships and move them through the sales funnel.
  • Training and Development: Participate in ongoing training sessions to enhance product knowledge and sales skills, contributing to personal and team growth.

Requirements, Qualifications and Skills

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field (preferred but not always required).
  • Experience: Previous experience in sales, 1 year minimum, business development, or customer service is advantageous, particularly in a B2B environment.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly and persuasively.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong relationship-building abilities, demonstrating empathy and understanding of client needs.
  • Sales Acumen: Basic understanding of sales processes and techniques, with a willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Goal-oriented: Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed targets and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong time management and organizational skills to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in using CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and other sales tools; familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze market data and customer feedback to inform strategies and improve outreach efforts.
  • Team Player: Willingness to collaborate with colleagues across different departments and contribute to a positive team environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,301.00 - $70,000.00 per year

Shift:

  • 8 hour shift

Supplemental Pay:

  • Bonus opportunities
  • Commission pay
