This is what you will do:

Sr. Manager, Data Analytics & Reporting, is an exciting opportunity to be part of the Strategic Data Management & Information Delivery team at Alexion. This role will be responsible for building data-centric insight solutions and managing Data Analytics & reporting requests for US Commercial HQ and Field, across all commercial products in the US. This role will work primarily work with Data Mgmt., IC, Sales Operations, Insights & Analytics, to capture and understand analytics and reporting requests, will define and propose appropriate solutions, and provide guidance for the development of the analytics and reporting solutions to the development team.

You will be responsible for:

  • This role will work primarily within Commercial Strategic Data Management & Information Delivery team working closely with Sales Operations, Insights & Analytics to capture and understand analytics and reporting requests, will help define and clarify requirements, define and propose appropriate solutions, and provide guidance for the development of the analytics and reporting solution to the development team
  • Lead designing and building Business Intelligence products and solutions for the commercial organization across all brand
  • Responsible for maintaining the commercial reports/dashboard products and solutions, including resolving production issues and responding quickly to priority problems
  • Create opportunities for efficiencies in commercial reporting through process improvements, vendor leverage, and data analysis, coordinating with the brand to implement solutions.
  • Perform intake review and assist in prioritization of reporting requests
  • Analyze reporting service requests and define technical specifications for efficient development
  • Work with other team members in maintaining reporting standards and protocols
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis and provide ad-hoc reports as needed
  • Work with offshore team members to develop the dashboard/reporting solutions and maintaining reporting standards and protocols
  • Provide ongoing business training in reporting to end users & Identify opportunities for self-service and educate the business on self-service capabilities
  • Analyze data and data requirements regarding reporting solutions, ensure data quality, and match back to core systems transaction results
  • Create and Maintain SOP documentation for reporting solutions, data mapping, data dictionary, and reporting standards
  • Perform quality review of new and existing reporting solutions
  • Coordinate end-user review and acceptance of the developed solutions
  • Other duties as assigned

You will need to have:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required for eliciting requirements as well as communicating findings to key business stakeholders. Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent project management skills with demonstrated ability to lead multiple projects and priorities
  • 4+ years of relevant professional experience, with at least 4 years of experience in business intelligence or analytics in a healthcare setting
  • 4+years working experience in data warehousing and modeling concepts and expertise in data analysis
  • 3+ years of strong hands-on experience with database structures, query languages, structured programming languages, and the ability to query large datasets using ANSI SQL/Snowflake SQL and technical capabilities in visualization tools like QlikSense, PowerBI, or Tableau is required.
  • Experience working with offshore development team
  • Knowledge of Veeva CRM data model in pharmaceutical settings, Patient Hub Data, and Specialty Pharmacy/Specialty Distribution (867/852), Sales data highly preferred.
  • The duties of this role are generally conducted in an office environment. As is typical of an office-based role, employees must be able, with or without an accommodation to: use a computer; engage in communications via phone, video, and electronic messaging; engage in problem-solving and non-linear thought, analysis, and dialogue; collaborate with others; maintain general availability during standard business hours.

We would prefer for you to have:

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Computer or Information/Data Sciences, science, technology, engineering, mathematics) required. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years experience, working in the pharma or biotech sectors, preferably in a Commercial organization
  • Knowledge of Patient Hub, Specialty Pharmacy/Specialty Distribution, 852/867 data.
  • Experience with Data Management Platforms like Hive, Snowflake, and Spark for large-scale prospects data is a plus
