Job Summary

Patient Account Representatives play an important role within the patient on boarding process. This role requires a compassionate, caring individual who can delicately provide a patient with an understanding of their insurance out of pocket costs. This individual will speak directly to patients and inform them of any deductibles or copayments due. The Patient Account Representative will also review each account and
gather information from these patients to identify whether they may qualify for financial assistance.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Discuss with patients their current financial situation to identify accounts that may qualify for
    financial hardship assistance.
  • Discuss all Financial Hardship qualifications with patients and coordinate the enrollment process.
  • Contact patients daily as your primary function.
  • Collect medical deductibles and copayments when necessary.
  • Thoroughly document all conversations within our company database.
  • Track all hardship enrollments and follow-up with patients until enrollment has been completed.
  • Please add post and reconcile all patient pay balances

Required Qualifications

  • Able to read medical charts.
  • Knowledge of medical billing and managed care
  • Knowledge of broad-based medical insurance including private/commercial networks and other
    government programs.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to prioritize and work independently.
  • Excellent Customer Service skills

Education and Experience Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • 2+ year of Customer Service Experience within the Medical Industry Preferred
  • Working knowledge of Medicare Part A, B, C, and D benefits is a plus.

Schedule Details

  • In-Person (Laguna Hills ,Ca)
  • Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
