This role is responsible for managing all aspects of engagement with new and existing customers. Defining sales, growth strategies and building long term relationships with key customers are part of your responsibility. You will identify opportunities and build credibility with customers. In this position, you will achieve booking and profit goals by implementing plans to grow, develop, and manage our machine building clients, contractors and end-user relationships.

Your client base will be in the US and Europe.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing a comprehensive understanding of the market, generate new business and increase revenues in the territories
  • Understanding competition and their offerings
  • Identifying potential clients and their industry
  • Developing an account management plan with focus on strategic growth
  • Develop and maintain a qualified funnel of opportunities. Achieve new order/booking and profit goals. Constantly achieve your forecasted goals.
  • Collaborate with operations and internal teams to deliver the best customer service.
  • Work with other sales division teams, internally and internationally, to plan, target, and acquire new projects and accounts.
  • Create proposals, calculate estimates, specifications, and presentations.
  • Work closely with team members of operations and finance to meet sales goals.
  • Follow through on sold projects to ensure satisfactory completion. Ensure a smooth sales-to-operations handover and monitor project execution. Assist in resolving installation, collections, and other customer satisfaction issues as needed.
  • Actively participate in sales department meetings, workshops, and seminars to stay knowledgeable on current market, business, and product trends.
  • Travel overnight up to 30% for customer visits, job site visits and other internal meetings.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; a combination of education and experience will also be considered
  • 3 years of sales experience in construction industry or machine building, automation industry or a related field
  • Technical and Financial expertise to estimate, create quotes and sell service solutions and service product lines effectively and independently
  • Account development and strategic sales skills
  • Experience selling to contractors and engineers
  • Demonstrable understanding of how to market, position, and sell industrial services such as installations, maintenance solutions and others
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and preferred German
  • Excellent organizational, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
