This role will be a hybrid position requiring two days onsite at our Albuquerque, NM facility.
Job Overview:
The Customer Service (CS) Supervisor facilitates employee development, improves customer service, and drives continuous process improvement. They are a coach and mentor to a team of Customer Service Representatives, setting an example of exceptional service to GSS customers. With specific account assignments, they foster and grow relationships with GSS customers providing a personal touch in business transactions. Working in partnership with management, they strive to ensure service consistency across the CS department.
Responsibilities:
- Train and coach team to deliver exceptional customer service.
- Perform quality work reviews to provide performance feedback and foster service improvement.
- Support order and quote activity via all channels.
- Guide and assist in the resolution of escalated issues.
- Participate in continuous training to expand product knowledge and increase understanding of GSS processes.
- Serve as customer liaison for product and service issues.
- Identify and communicate new opportunities to sales team based on incoming orders and quote requests.
- Assist with the development and implementation of industry leading practices and metrics.
- Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) in all areas of responsibility.
- Represent GSS at events, customer meetings, and on social media as needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Education, Experience, and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
- Minimum of five years business experience.
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficiency with computers and their applications is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or scientific related field.
- Experience in customer service and/or experience in a laboratory environment is preferred.
- Supervisory experience.
Supervisory Responsibility:
Supervises a team composed of Customer Service Representatives, Account Specialists, and Account Managers.
Position Type:
This is a full-time position.
Work Authorization:
Must be eligible to work in the United States.
