Full-time (Monday to Friday 9am - 5.30pm). This post is open to remote working.

Marketing by DesignLLC is seeking a talented Production Artist to join our Private Label team.

As a Production Artist you will be required to create various packaging artwork files such as primary folding cartons, labels, and secondary packaging PDQ trays, (POP) point of purchase merchandisers and corrugated self-shipper cartons, etc. You will manage the creation of files from the digital artwork origination stage for client approval through completion of final press-ready digital artwork files. Working in an Apple Mac based team, you will use Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop CS to create color separated digital artwork.

The ideal candidate will be a motivated self-starter who thrives in a team environment. In addition to having strong problem solving and decision-making skills, they will also have a strong appreciation of good design/aesthetics and a passion for accuracy and quality in their work.

We are looking for someone who:

• Can prepare and create electronic “press-ready” artwork using Adobe Illustrator CS
• Can revise existing artwork files and augment to suit a different print process or packaging type.
• Will ensure all digital artwork files are consistent across related brands or ranges.
• Will check and compare artwork files for brand and layout consistency across related packaging categories.
• Can inspect artwork files for correct usage and application of consistent copy style specifications.
• Will ensure that packaging artwork, copy and die-line confirms to the clients’ brand requirements.
• Has an aptitude for learning and growth.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

• Proven experience producing digital packaging (press-ready) artwork is essential.
• Expert level digital artwork assembly skills required in both Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Working knowledge of InDesign, MS Word and MS Excel, and experience with Mac OS.
• Strong attention to detail and work ethic.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Flexible approach with the ability to work in a fast-paced studio handling multiple tasks to tight deadlines.
• Experience with FDA Compliance and print process knowledge would be advantageous
