Who We Are: Mascott Equipment Company is a Petroleum Equipment Distributor specializing in; Service, Sales and Specialty Construction work. Based in Portland, Oregon with six offices and Warehouses throughout the Pacific Northwest and Alaska.
What We Are: Mascott is a 65-year-old company expanding our footprint of 70+ mobile technicians and 130 employees throughout the four Northwestern States.
Our customers: We service the industry’s most recognizable names and customers’ equipment in the retail, commercial, Aviation and mission critical markets: Gasoline and diesel dispensers and pumps, point of sale consoles, electronic monitoring equipment, electrical needs, environmental testing, fueling polishing and light construction.
Who We Represent: The leading manufacturers in our Industry such as; Wayne-DFS dispensers, VeriFone point of sale consoles, LSI Lighting, ChargePoint, OPW Fueling, Fuel Master, Franklin Fueling, NOV Fiberglass, and more.
What We Are Looking For: We are currently interviewing for Inside Sales Rep for our Portland office.
What We Want: A successful Inside Sales Representative will play a fundamental role in achieving our ambitious sales and revenue growth objectives. The Inside Sales rep must work with each department within the organization and must be a team player to be successful.
Personal Skill Sets Needed to be Successful: This is a customer service position, always focusing on understanding and meeting or exceeding the customer’s needs. Much of the contact is via telephone and therefore requires excellent phone skills and the ability to maintain a high degree of vocal enthusiasm and politeness. You will need to multitask and manage your priorities, with the customer always first.
Since you will be supporting our Outside Sales Reps, you will need to establish and maintain good working relationships with them along with the Service, Operations and Corporate employees.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
· Excellent customer service and teamwork
· Answering phones - assist customers and direct other calls as needed
· Greeting and working with walk-in visitors and counter/will call customers
· Write Sales Orders and Quotes in computer system - ERP & CRM
· Ability to shuffle schedule and priorities ongoing throughout the day
· Monitor the progress of projects to ensure on-time completion and follow-up as needed
· Keeping customer informed and updated on any anticipated changes
· Review and follow-up on pending quotes
· Order and file manufacturer’s product literature
· Build long term mutually beneficial relationships with our customers – so they think of Mascott first above all of our competitors.
· Must be punctual and have strong work ethic
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
Regularly requires sitting, standing, stairs and moving about the facility. Exposure to shop elements such as noise, dust, fumes and odors.
The incumbent in this position will work in a physical office environment located at 435 NE Hancock Street Portland, OR on a set schedule.
Must be able to pass pre-employment drug test & background check.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION
· Education - Some college preferred
· Experienced - 2 years excellent Sales and Customer Service experience
· Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook required
. Previous experience with CRM software & ERP a must

· Excellent communication skills (oral and written),

· Self-motivated, adaptability and accountability
· Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment,
. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
. Familiarity with technical sales processes, multiple customer and vendor portals.
· Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of changing situations.

Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
