Summary of Responsibilities
The Sales Manager is responsible for being the Company’s external customer contact within an assigned geographic region. This role acts as a liaison coordinating activities between Yupo Corporation America and the customer; establishes programs and priorities based on close customer interaction and represents the Company externally, projecting a positive and quality image. The Sales Representative also develops and implements sales strategies to attain sales objectives; coordinates all activities related to establishing and maintaining strong customer relationships, securing long-term commitments of accounts; and compiles information on customers, competitors, and market conditions for the development of the Company’s short and long term business strategies.
Essential Functions
- Believes and leads by example in the “Safety First” philosophy. Complies with all company safety standards. Actively leads or participates in safety programs and is a safety advocate.
- Identifies and closes sales opportunities to attain budgeted sales objectives.
- Establishes and maintains contacts with existing and potential customers. Formalizes customer relationships at operational and senior levels. Maintains customer target list and up-to-date account profiles.
- Forecasts current and long-term sales.
- Track and report customer data, sales performance, and other metrics.
- Helps to support market development activities.
- Confers with Sales Management in the implementation of Marketing/Sales programs, product offerings, and pricing changes. Participates in the determination of market potential.
- Understands customer business strategy and communicates their sales/marketing needs to ensure growth. Maintains awareness of industry trends as well as threats and opportunities.
- Maintains open communications with customers and coordinates sales promotion activities with customer base.
- Demonstrates accurate and timely reporting as well as strong oral and written communication skills.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 5-10 years of Sales experience in the printing, film, or converting industry.
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently as well as in teams.
- Ability to assume additional responsibilities in the absence of the Sales Director.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment working with a diverse team.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with international affiliates and colleagues.
- Excellent networking and prospecting skills.
- Technical aptitude and strong business acumen skills.
- Ability to travel 50%+ of the time
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
