Sales Executive

Position Description

Department: Sales

Operations Area: Texas / Florida / Colorado / North Carolina / Georgia / Tennessee / DC / Arizona / Nevada / Utah / California / Washington / Oregon

Reports to: General Manager of Location

Subordinates: None

Hours: Normal hours vary depending on industry/company functions. Often requires late night and weekend work.

Position Summary

Maintain positive relationships with existing customers and develop new client relationships. Be an active member in various organizations such as local and state apartment associations. Find new opportunities to expand Company’s customer base and market penetration.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Account executive must possess outstanding social skills and the ability to communicate to increase sales. Must have excellent listening skills, the ability to multi-task, meet multiple, conflicting deadlines and creatively solve problems. Basic user of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook. Must have completed OSHA 10 course, or complete one within 30 days after program enrollment.

Responsibilities

  • Identify construction decision makers and construction leads; negotiate contracts and close sales.
  • Build positive relationships with existing customers and obtain new leads.
  • Know and understand the needs of our top clients including managers and supervisors.
  • Apply construction knowledge to assist clients with decision-making and developing good scopes of work.
  • Assist estimator/superintendents with job scopes, estimates and production of work.
  • Generate competitive proposals in a timely manner and close sales.
  • Participate in pre-construction, progress and final job meeting.
  • Inspect job sites, communicate with superintendent and project managers, etc., to provide accurate and timely updates to customers and Company employees.
  • Enhance profits using timely, accurate invoicing and collections of payments.
  • Develop good relationships with new customers and write thank you notes to clients
  • Create and maintain a customer account database on all levels.
  • Review Customer list monthly and determine customer status.
  • Represent Company to the industry and at industry organizations/events including local and state apartment associations.
  • Entertain customers at different local and state venues/events.
  • Complete weekly and monthly reports and participate in sales meetings.
  • Serve Company in any capacity requested during catastrophic events.
  • Follow Company core values.
