The Group Benefits marketing team is a team who helps our partners and customers understand the need for and value of group insurance products by telling The Hartford’s story in a relatable, meaningful, and empathetic way.
As a member of the Group Benefits marketing team be ready to work in a fun, team-oriented and collaborative environment. The Marketing Manager, Supplemental Health & Absence Products will support the Assistant Director of Supplemental Health & Absence Marketing in the development and execution of strategic initiatives to help grow our book of business and impact profitable growth within our Supplemental Health Lines of Coverage – Accident Insurance, Critical Illness Insurance and Hospital Indemnity Insurance, as well as our Disability and Absence suite of products. This individual will partner with others across Group Benefits spanning strategy, market launch, enterprise branding, product, sales and claims to bring the product marketing strategies and value propositions to life through the execution of sales and marketing tools, and multi-channel campaigns.
This role will have a Hybrid work arrangement, with the expectation of working in the Hartford, CT office 3 days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday).
Key Responsibilities:
  • Understand marketing plan/launch approach and assist in execution (review, creative, compliance) of a variety of deliverables for product launches and campaigns.
  • Marketing Collateral/Content Management - Leads end-to-end execution including intake and analysis of marketing materials reports and collateral audit (anticipate and execute on collateral updates due to expiration dates and/or product updates.)
  • Executes on web updates - Supports content creation and posts updated/new materials, as well as review/audit current sites to keep content and materials up-to-date.
  • Provide support with marketing strategies and campaigns based on business objectives; build educational tools and assets related to segment marketing and education.
  • Provide project management support in development, creation, and execution of marketing initiatives and campaigns.
  • Ensure consistent marketing and communications by leveraging all available marketing tools and technologies.
  • Analyze data to inform decisions about marketing campaigns.
  • Enhance understanding of our business through continuous learning, experimentation, and innovation.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as Sales and Product, to ensure marketing efforts are aligned with GB Marketing’s overall goals.
Technical/Functional Skills/Qualifications
  • A minimum of 5 years of related work experience in Marketing required, with experience in B2B marketing a plus.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in insurance, ideally focused on sales enablement, communications, and retention.
  • Strong attention to detail and project management skills.
Compensation
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:
$80,000 - $120,000
