Sales Representative skills and qualifications
- Customer service skills to listen to the concerns of a customer and be able to address their needs
- Interpersonal skills to work with a wide variety of people each day, build relationships and network
- Confidence and strong self-assuredness to succeed in cold-calling customers and making a sale
- Communication skills, especially persuasion, to clearly convey the benefits of a product to potential customers
- Physical endurance, as Sales Representatives may need to be on their feet for long hours, spend a lot of time traveling between locations and carry products.
Job Responsibilities:
- Required to occasionally travel out of states
- Open customer's orders in NetSuite.
- Traveling between locations to visit customers, take order, give samples, pick up checks, etc.
- Arrange logistic service, arranging trucking for pick up and drop off.
- Souring for potential products.
- Seek new leads and new potienal customers.
- Meeting or exceeding sales goals.
- Helping determine pricing schedules for quotes, promotions, and negotiations.
- Giving sales presentations to a range of prospective clients.
- Coordinating sales efforts with marketing programs.
- Understanding and promoting company promotions.
- Preparing and submitting sales contracts for orders.
- Visiting clients and potential clients to evaluate needs or promote products and services.
- Maintaining client records.
- Answering client questions about credit terms, products, prices, and availability.
Other Skills and Abilities:
- Experience in sales.
- Understanding of the sales process and dynamics.
- A commitment to excellent customer service.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Superb interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly build rapport with both customers and suppliers.
- Working knowledge of computers
- Ability to work both independently and as a team
- Able to work comfortably in a fast paced environment.
- NetSuite Oracle
- Bilingual: English and Chinese
