LOAN PROCESSOR

We're currently seeking an experienced Loan Processor to join our team.

Location: Baton Rouge, LA or Plaquemine, LA (not a remote position)

Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

As a Loan Processor at Citizens Bank, you'll play a pivotal role in our lending operations. You'll be responsible for ensuring the smooth origination and servicing of loans, adhering to bank policies and compliance regulations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct pre-closing reviews of loan packages, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance.

Collaborate with Loan Officers to address processing and documentation issues.

Coordinate and approve final closing documentation/funding with settlement agents.

Process TRID disclosures and manage change in terms agreements, loan denials, and other actions.

Maintain insurance system for the bank loan portfolio.

Request residential loan appraisals and manage the appraisal request system.

Image and index loan documentation for easy retrieval.

Perform daily loan maintenance tasks, including processing payments and extensions.

Provide assistance to loan officers, bank employees, and customers.

Handle returned checks and maintain credit and collateral files.

Support loan department supervisor with various functions.

Attend mandatory training sessions to ensure compliance with regulations.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred.
• Minimum of two years' experience in loan processing with knowledge of lending regulations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong computer skills with the ability to learn job-related software; experience with Laser Pro preferred.
