Position Overview:
Are you a seasoned mid-career professional drywall expert with a knack for leadership and innovation? We're searching for an enthusiastic and dynamic Chief Operating Officer to spearhead our continued growth and success at Midwest Drywall, Inc. into new realms of success and creativity.
The Chief Operating Officer is a key executive responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a company, ensuring smooth functioning, efficiency, and profitability. The COO works closely with the company owner and other executives to develop and implement strategies that align with our organization's goals.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead with Heart and Expertise: Bring your years of drywall mastery to the forefront as you inspire and lead our team at Midwest Drywall, Inc. to unparalleled heights of craftsmanship and customer satisfaction. Working closely with the Business Development Manager to successfully decipher blueprints and job site conditions, marketing efforts, providing detailed estimates, as well as working with our Office Administrator to oversee financial planning, budgeting, and cost forecasting.
  • Strategic Architect: Develop and implement visionary strategies that propel our Drywall Division at Midwest Drywall, Inc. forward, driving growth, profitability, and industry recognition in areas such as client relations, resource allocation, process optimization, risk management, and financial planning.
  • Team Catalyst: Oversee daily field and office operations while working in tandem with our foremen to ensure successful project execution; fostering collaboration and celebrating achievements.
  • Quality Crusader: Ensure that every drywall masterpiece at Midwest Drywall, Inc. reflects our commitment to perfection, quality materials, and meticulous attention to detail. Foster deep connections with potential clientele and current partners, ensuring satisfaction and addressing concerns.
  • Efficiency Maestro: Streamline processes, harness technology, and champion best practices at Midwest Drywall, Inc. to optimize productivity, resource utilization, and project timelines.

Key Skills and Qualifications:
Do you have what it takes to lead with confidence and drive operational excellence?
  • A Bachelor’s degree in a related area or relevant experience at a 1:1 ratio.
  • Your leadership journey includes demonstrated experience in the construction industry, particularly in drywall operations, for a minimum of 5 years managing teams, driving organizational change, and motivating team members.
  • You possess 4 years of drywall estimating experience.
  • A deep understanding of field-related technical experience with drywall installation, finishing & repair techniques, and industry innovations is a plus. Extensive knowledge and experience with the principles, best practices, and techniques relevant to the construction industry.
  • Your communication skills are as polished as our drywall finishes, fostering teamwork, and client rapport.
  • Strategic planning is your forte, balancing operational excellence, cost-efficiency, and growth initiatives seamlessly. Proven ability to analyze and interpret information to find appropriate solutions to issues and initiate alternatives to ensure effective change and/or mitigate potential negative effects.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and develop innovative solutions.
  • Your passion for mentoring and empowering teams fuels a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement at Midwest Drywall, Inc.

Benefits:
Salary: $ 80,000.00- $90,000.00 per annum, based on experience
Schedule: Monday-Friday in-person and on the road (SD County), this is not a remote position
Time Off: 5 personal and 5 sick days per calendar year, plus 6 major holidays
Reimbursements: Gasoline for local travel
