Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable IT sales associate to promote and sell our managed IT services and solutions. In this role, your duties will include familiarizing yourself with the technical specifications of our services, assessing prospective clients' IT needs, and demonstrating our IT solutions to potential clients.
Responsibilities
- Prospect potential clients using various direct methods such as calling and face-to-face meetings, and indirect methods such as networking
- Travel within sales territory to meet prospective clients
- Assesses client IT needs and makes recommendations, including IT equipment and service contracts
- Presenting your findings to and working closely with the technical team
- Negotiates sales and long-term contracts with clients
- Build and maintain relationships with new clients
- Maintain records of all sales leads and client accounts
- Educate clients on how services can benefit them financially and professionally
- Monitor industry competition, new service offerings, and market conditions to help better understand a prospective customer’s specific needs
- Establishes sales goals and implements a plan to meet those goals
- Work with your manager to promote the brand in your territory
- Be a positive representative of the company and its brand in the marketplace
- Conduct all sales activities with the highest degree of professionalism and integrity
Qualifications
- 3+ years’ experience in IT consulting/sales - experience counts more than certifications
- Ability to work independently once strategy and direction are identified
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, and organizational skills
- Proficiency with sales management software
- Current and valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
Duration, Hours, Compensation
- Full-time (40-45 hours/week) in-office position
- Base Salary of $50,000/year + Commissions
- Annual COLA + performance raises
