Jet Health, Inc. is a leading provider of hospice and home health services, committed to delivering high-quality care in the communities we serve. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Business Development (DBD) to guide and direct our Community Relations Managers and hospice sales teams in Texas, New Mexico, and Idaho. This role will be based at our corporate office in Fort Worth, Texas.

Position Summary:

The Director of Business Development (DBD) is responsible for overseeing all sales and marketing activities within assigned regions, driving growth, building community relationships, and coaching a high-performing sales team. The DBD will focus on achieving sales goals, expanding market share, and ensuring that the team meets and exceeds referral and intake quotas.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Leadership & Team Management:

  • Direct and mentor the sales team, ensuring consistent performance through field rides, coaching, and classroom training.
  • Develop and implement Performance Improvement Plans for underperforming sales representatives.
  • Manage the recruitment, interview, hiring, and orientation processes for new sales team members.
  • Take responsibility for meeting sales productivity goals, as measured by admissions per Full-Time CRM.
  • Provide regular feedback and recommendations regarding hiring, firing, and other personnel decisions.

Strategic Sales & Business Growth:

  • Lead the development and implementation of regional sales strategies that meet or exceed established referral and intake goals.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with key community referral sources, including physicians, discharge planners, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Collaborate with senior management and hospice administrators to develop annual marketing plans that will generate new patient activity and strengthen existing relationships.
  • Drive the growth of profitable revenue and market share within the assigned regions.
  • Ensure improvements in payer mix are achieved through targeted sales efforts and strategies.

Marketing & Community Relations:

  • Oversee and coordinate community relations, marketing, and business development activities to enhance brand awareness and public recognition.
  • Create and deliver presentations to higher-level healthcare personnel to secure General In-Patient and Nursing Home contracts.
  • Develop and maintain a networking base within the assigned communities to maximize growth opportunities.
  • Represent Jet Health at community events, meetings, and health fairs to build relationships and promote the hospice mission.

Operational & Administrative Duties:

  • Ensure that all admissions are processed efficiently, including coordination with the centralized intake center.
  • Maintain confidentiality and privacy of sensitive information at all times.
  • Function independently, make decisions, problem-solve, and utilize resources as needed to achieve goals.
  • Maintain flexibility and persistence in implementing changes and driving improvements within the program.
Requirements:
  • At least five years of management experience in healthcare marketing, preferably in Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNF), home care, or hospice.
  • A proven track record of success in healthcare sales, including five years of documented sales experience to physicians, discharge planners, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Demonstrable history of building and influencing client relationships, achieving sales goals, and knowledge of Medicare, managed care, and insurance reimbursement.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to deliver effective group presentations.
  • Ability to critique and teach effective marketing and public presentation skills.
  • High-level organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the capability to make independent decisions.
  • Computer literate and proficient in using sales management tools.
  • Must have a reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, current car insurance, and a good driving record.

Education:

  • BA or BS degree preferred.
