POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Director of R&D, the QA Manager will oversee and continuously enhance the Quality Assurance and Control functions, ensuring the highest standards for products and processes. This role is instrumental in maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and driving quality improvements across manufacturing operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop and implement quality policies, procedures, and records to ensure compliance with regulatory (NHP/GMP/GLP) standards and internal requirements.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives for product and process quality across manufacturing.
  • Approve and release bulk materials and finished goods, ensuring they meet established specifications.
  • Conduct root cause analyses and implement corrective and preventative actions for non-conformance issues.
  • Create and review technical documents such as ingredient disclosures, specifications, batch sheets, and compliance records.
  • Oversee facility audits to maintain GMP compliance and ensure accurate record-keeping.
  • Direct and mentor quality team members, ensuring adherence to established quality standards and processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and develop innovative solutions.
  • Stay informed about regulatory changes and advise senior leadership on potential impacts.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • A degree in Science (Biochemistry, Biology, Engineering, or related field) or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a supervisory quality role within a similar
  • In-depth knowledge of Health Canada (NNHPD) regulations and GMP standards.
  • Proven success in driving quality improvement initiatives and fostering a culture of excellence.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
